A Light in the Cavern

A queer weird western novella from Ridley Harker

Having already attended his own funeral, reporter Calvin St. John arrives at the Candlewood Hotel fully expecting to die. Instead he finds the hotel a moldering shell of its advertisement, where instead of sunshine and crisp mountain air, the patients are prescribed seclusion indoors and experimental treatments by candlelight. After the proprietor offers Calvin a special concoction to wring the sickness from his lungs, he finds himself a new man--one who glows in the dark, with something ancient and sinister whispering inside his skull... Calvin might have been better off dead.
